We are delighted to announce the three latest inductees into the Installation Hall of Fame, as part of Install Awards 2017.
WINNER:
Dr Joseph Kramer, Founder of Kramer Electronics

Lifetime achievement award

The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual who has made a valuable contribution to the industry throughout the course of their career.

Dr Kramer commented: “I am very proud and yet humbled to receive this award. When I founded Kramer Electronics, 36 years ago, I wanted to make innovative products driven by professional customer needs for the video industry. Throughout the intervening 36 years technology has constantly and quickly evolved and Kramer Electronics has grown into a multinational company with presence across the globe. Today we are moving through an era of wired presentation systems into the world of wireless IP-based video systems and control. We have witnessed the demise of analogue and the birth of digital over those 36 years. Kramer will continue to strive forward, delivering technically advanced solutions based upon what we are asked for."

“None of this would be possible without the support and feedback of our customers and our dedicated Kramer family of colleagues. I thank you all for your support.”
WINNER:
Gordon Dutch, Former Managing Director of Peerless-AV

Outstanding contribution award

The Outstanding Contribution Award recognises an individual who has had a major beneficial impact on the industry in recent years.

Gordon Dutch commented “It’s a great honour to be awarded Outstanding Contribution by Installation magazine. My 30 years in AV has been a blast – starting out in the car audio business, becoming CEO of BBG and then launching the Peerless-AV brand into Europe. I am thrilled that Peerless-AV is now one of the fastest-growing AV brands in EMEA. Since stepping down as MD last year I’m very pleased that my fantastic and loyal team have continued to take Peerless-AV to even new heights. I’m confident under the leadership of John Potts, our global president Nick Belcore, Keith Dutch and Melinda Von Horvath that this will continue for the foreseeable future. I look forward to celebrating this accolade with the team and all of you at the forthcoming InstallAwards.”
WINNER:
Audinate

Grand prix award

The Grand Prix is awarded to a company that has made a major contribution to the industry over a number of years.

“We are thrilled that Audinate has been selected as the Grand Prix winner at this year’s InstallAwards,” stated Lee Ellison, CEO of Audinate. “Our company was founded with a vision of revolutionising the AV industry through the use of IT technology, and 10 years later that vision has become a reality. Corporate buildings, conference centres, universities, stadiums and more have turned to Dante to reduce costs, improve audio quality and maximise flexibility, making Dante the de facto standard for audio-over-IP in the fixed installation market. We are pleased to be recognised by Installation for our accomplishments to date, and look forward to providing many more innovative products and solutions for the AV industry in the future.”
Paddy Baker, editor of Installation, said: “These are three very well-deserved awards. In their different ways, all three recipients have played a major role in shaping the industry that we know today. I look forward to seeing them honoured during this year’s InstallAwards ceremony.”
