ENTRY GUIDANCE:
 
  • A company/person may enter into as many categories as they see fit.
  • The word limit for entries is 500 words, however this does not include testimonials, if these are requested as part of the entry criteria, testimonials should be entered in a separate box as detailed on the entry form.
  • A company/person can enter themselves or can be entered by someone else, however it is important to note that an entry will be judged on its content and quality and not by how many times it has been entered into the same category.

CRITERIA
Recognising the service of an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the industry in terms of:
 
  • Length of service
  • Contribution to technological/operational advance
  • Continued excellence and endeavour in their craft
  • Influence in bringing important company/industry projects to fruition
  • Game-changing input to industry-wide processes 
This award recognises the projects, proof of concepts, and working deployments of innovative technical solutions that have made an active, tangible difference to the operations and efficiencies of industry entities. Entries should be put forward for consideration if they have achieved any of the following:
 
  • Provided an innovative solution to an operational/workflow issue
  • Created (cost and operational) efficiencies in the end-to-end completion of specific processes
  • Created a previously unavailable benefit/solution to a broadcast operation’s processes
  • Created game-changing technology
  • Played an integral role in the construction of enabling technology/industry solutions
Awarded to an up and coming individual, company, or organisation that is making a tangible difference to, and within, the industry. Entries should underline the standout values that makes the entrant worthy of recognition, as:
 
  • A game-changer
  • A disruptive force for good
  • A problem solver
  • A bright young thing
  • An excellent idea/welcome addition to the broadcast fold
The challenging area of live production is a refined art, and successful productions rely on many component parts working in orchestration to deliver the end result. Increasingly an area that is leading the charge in end-to-end IP workflow, the live production sector is at the pioneering edge of industry innovation, and nominations in this category will be required to highlight at least one of the following:
 
  • Seamless production of a single large event, or multiple individual events
  • Use of IP workflows in the production chain
  • Significantly improving the production values of a programme/project through innovative use of capture/technology/production methods
  • Innovative solutions to solve problematic production issues due to adverse weather/location/connectivity issues
  • Provision of multiscreen delivery of single or multiple live events
Recognising all broadcast productions, live and pre-recorded, for their production values, use of technology, and innovative solutions to enhance a production’s quality/distribution/value proposition via:
 
  • Seamless production of a single large event, or multiple individual events
  • Use of IP workflows in the production chain
  • Significantly improving the production values of a programme/project through innovative use of capture/technology/production methods
  • Innovative solutions to solve problematic production issues due to adverse weather/location/connectivity issues
  • Provision of multiscreen delivery of single or multiple events
Recognising excellence in the post production field, inclusive of colouring, grading, special effects, audio, and much more. Entries should represent achievements in the following areas (at least):
 
  • Significant contextual visual enhancements to a production’s assets
  • Innovation in audio
  • Innovation in special effects
  • Excellence in colouring
  • Excellence in grading
