Creative Marketeer Award:
This category recognises successful, creative and original marketing campaigns over the past 12 months from August 2016 – August 2017.
Nominees must provide a 300 – 500 word example of a project the nominee worked on, as well as supporting documentation such as an example of an advert or campaign.
Nominations should include case studies/examples of the above, and testimonials from her colleagues and/or clients in support of the nomination where applicable.
PR Powerhouse Award:
Getting breaking stories into the press, knowing all the right journalists, and explaining the ethos and mission of a tech company to the Channel in a clear and engaging way are all in a day's work for the winner of this award.
This award recognises the most accomplished PR individual or team leader, either internal or agency. Judges will be looking for creative successes and an ability to innovate. Please provide a 300 – 500 word example of a project the nominee worked on, as well as testimonials from clients and/or colleagues.
Rising Star Award:
Tech’s future female leaders are starting now and this award highlights the young guns entering the industry with a bang.
Nominees for the Rising Star award will have been working in the industry for 5 years or less and be under the age of 30, or will be in their final year of study on a PC or tech industry-related higher education course. This award serves to highlight young female talent in the business, across all disciplines and functions.
Nominations should include case studies/examples and testimonials from her colleagues and/or clients in support of the nomination regarding:
- Exceptional Achievements – please provide examples of exceptional achievements as part of this person’s role.
- Consistent Contribution - please include details of projects the nominee has contributed to, with examples of how their input ensured success.
Sales Brilliance Award:
Smashing targets and exceeding expectations – the winner of this award will be able to demonstrate 12 months of spectacular sales success.
The judges will be looking for examples of excellence in the following categories:
- Selling of a product and/or service
- Creating key partners relationships that will benefit the company long-term
- Overachieving on targets over 12 months

Business Mentor Award:
Inspiring younger generations as they start their careers in tech lies at the heart of the Women of the Year awards, and the Business Mentor shines a light on a real standout story.
The judges will be looking for examples of excellence across the following:
- Mentoring
- Succession planning
- Pushing boundaries
- Ability to motivate others
- Relationship building with colleagues/employees, especially for other women

Technical Excellence Award:

This award looks to recognise women in the Channel who work on technical projects, from front-end to back-end, ranging from programmers to project managers and everything in-between.
Judges will be looking for a woman who has gone above and beyond to provide support for a client, led a project and/or managed a solution range.
Nominees will have taken initiative to succeed in any of the following:
- Design & product development
- Support & service
- Integration
- Managing solution ranges
- Network management
- System management
Nominations should include case studies/examples of the contribution of the nominee, and testimonials from her colleagues and/or clients in support where applicable.
Lifetime Achievement Award:
** NEW FOR 2017! **
This award, chosen by the PCR editorial team and PCR Women of the Year judging panel, recognises a leader who has made outstanding contributions to the industry and paved the way for women in the UK tech industry throughout their career.
This award will highlight a ‘game changer’ in the IT industry. The winner will be a champion of women in IT, and their actions will have consistently benefited and empowered women in tech.
PCR Woman of the Year:
PCR Woman of the Year looks to recognise an outstanding leader who has demonstrated a commitment to the following ideals through the period August 2016 – August 2017.
- Entrepreneurship: Founder/leader of a business, driving force behind success through pioneering approach, business acumen, dynamism, innovation, audacity, tenacity
- Financial Success: Sustained profitable business growth and healthy balance sheet
- Corporate Social Responsibility: Genuine commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices such as environmental policies, employee benefits, workforce diversity, and community schemes/relationships
- Role Model: Mentoring, succession planning, pushing boundaries, ability to motivate others, relationship building with colleagues/employees, especially for other women.
- Campaigner: Proven examples of encouraging equality and changes in the culture towards women in the tech industry on a global scale.
