Any bricks and mortar bike retailer, or firm involved in the repair of bikes, and a specialisation in a particular area of the market, such as mountain bikes.

INDEPENDENT BIKE DEALER
Any bricks and mortar bike retailer, or firm involved in the repair of bikes, with five stores or fewer.

MAINSTREAM RETAILER
Any mainstream/national store which carries Bikes as part of its range, or offers repair services.

RETAIL EVENT
Any bike event in the UK organised by a retailer, either aimed at the trade or the wider public.

Businesses will be judged on:

ONLINE STORE
Any online store specialising in bikes or which carries them as part of its wider range.
 
Businesses will be judged on:
  • Product range
  • Efficiency
  • Accessibility/website design

Behind the scenes of bike retail is the distribution sector, helping retailers negotiate hundreds of brands and thousands of products. It's not just about delivering product, but also about support in sales, marketing and training, and often being the main point of contact between retailers and brands. Speaking of which, the brands themselves, including huge global names and smaller scale UK brands (and everyone in between), are honoured here.

Any parts and accessories brand that can demonstrate exceptional sales success or innovation in design.

Any new brand that has come onto the market in the last year and has demonstrated exceptional sales success.
