The AV User Group is a forum for managers responsible for their organisations’ audio visual communications – including the use of AV in meeting rooms, video, audio and data conferencing, video streaming, presentations and the use of collaborative technologies.

Its overall aim is to promote the effective use of AV communications technology within user organisations and to help managers maintain the skills and knowledge they need to implement AV projects and manage service provision.

The group provides a meeting point for technology managers and their internal support teams and its events provide an interface between user managers and suppliers to the sector.

It is actively developing a range of support services to members, which include technology briefings. It also represents user views to the industry, feeding back opinion on training, standardization, commercial and product issues through its links to manufacturers and other AV industry trade bodies.  International links are also being developed, with “local” group meetings for users now being held in both New York and Hong Kong.
