Steve Plunkett is the Chief Technology Officer, Broadcast and Media Services at Ericsson. In this role he is responsible for research and development, technology strategy and industry engagement. With over 20 years of experience in the media, telecoms and internet industries, Steve has spent his career looking forward, leading the development of new products, services and platforms.
As the broadcast and media industry transitions towards the technologies of the internet and consumer behaviour changes how we experience television, Steve and his team are building the platforms and services that will power them in the future.
Prior to joining Ericsson, Steve was the CTO at Red Bee Media, Chief Architect of the Future Solutions Group at Motorola and held senior positions at multi-nationals including Citibank.
