Richard started his career as an engineer at BBC Outside Broadcasts 20 years ago. Since then he has spent time working in the UK and abroad for the World Service, BBC Research & Development and SIS Live before going freelance. He has been heavily involved in the migration from analogue to digital, SD to HD; and now UHD. For the last 10 years he has focussed on design and project management of OB vehicles and Studio installations and is now working on the change from traditional video to IP connectivity.
