Alex Connock is founder of digital content creation company Missile, having previously been MD of Endemol Shine North (2012-17), co-founder (with Bob Geldof) and CEO of Ten Alps (1998-2011) and MD of Planet 24 Radio (1995-98). Across that period he has overseen many TV and digital projects for UK and international broadcasters and brands. In digital video he has been head of video at the LADbible, and run the group awarded the Teachers TV project for the UK government. Academically, he tutors the Creative Entrepreneurship Master's degree at the National Film and Television School, is entrepreneur in residence at Europe’s leading business school INSEAD, and visiting professor at Salford University and MMU. He has degrees from, along with Oxford and Columbia universities. He is aiming to complete a PhD at Salford in 2018 titled ‘Optimising video for e-commerce,’ having published on brand integration as a visiting fellow at Oxford University in 2013. He is also on the advisory board of the Edinburgh International TV Festival and a trustee of UNICEF UK.
